LARKANA, Nov 25: Tension gripped the Banho Jatoi village following the murder of Shahan Jatoi in an exchange of fire between two groups on Thursday. The firing continued on Friday. Police took the body of Mr Jatoi after autopsy in a Dokri hospital in an armoured personnel carrier to the village where it was buried under tight security.

So far, no FIR has been registered.

Meanwhile, when contacted in his native village Gudd on Friday, MNA Hizbullah Bughio alleged that police were shielding some criminals who had stormed the village and killed his supporter.

He said he had talked to the IGP and asked him to restore normality in the area.

Mr Bughio said he would raise the issue on the floor of the National Assembly.

He demanded early arrest of the accused.
