KARAK: The residents of Banda Daud Shah tehsil blocked the Indus Highway here on Thursday night against the killing of a security guard and kidnapping of a supervisor of a foreign exploration company in Thall tehsil of Hangu district earlier in the night.

The protesters placed the body of the deceased guard of the MOL Pakistan on the artery, blocking it for several hours.

The relatives of the slain security guard, Qabil Badshah and kidnapped supervisor, Asmatullah, residents of Banda Daud Shah, and a large number of villagers marched on the highway from Gurguri to Krappa Chowk, where they blocked it for vehicular traffic.

On the occasion, the speakers regretted that the district administration had failed to ensure early recovery of the kidnapped supervisor of the company.

They demanded that the family of the deceased guard should be granted a martyred package, and his son should be employed in the company.

The protesters ended the road blockade after the district administration officials assured them of tracing the kidnapped supervisor of the company within three days.
