ISLAMABAD: The federal government’s subsidised ration programme has received 19 million applications after which the online registration service 8171 was closed.
Ehsaas National Socio-Economic Registry is being used to select beneficiary families. A steering committee has been especially constituted to analyse the data of applicants to determine their eligibility.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Senator Dr Sania Nishtar presided over the meeting of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division for the Ehsaas Rashan Riayat programme on Thursday.
