Khan of Mamdot in an interview to ‘Dawn’ representatives, said: “We are courting arrest to vindicate civic liberties in the Punjab, where an unrepresentative ministry, in order to help itself in power, is resorting to most objectionable methods to gag popular liberties.” … Amidst thunderous shouts of ‘Zinadabad’ they were taken to police lock-up.
