Man dies of suffocation in Skardu

SKARDU, Nov 24: A man died of suffocation and two others fell unconscious when fumes from burning coal filled after their room near Benazir Chowk here, sources said. The three men were sleeping in the room where a coal heater was burning. While they were asleep, gas filled the room. As a result, Mohammad Hassan, of Tisar, Shigar (Baltistan), died of suffocation and Haider and Hadi fell unconscious.

Haider and Hadi have been admitted to the Skardu district headquarters hospital where their condition is stated to be out of danger.—Correspondent
