LAHORE: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Hasaan Khawar says, during the previous governments, the issue of providing public resources to south Punjab never exceeded political sloganeering because rulers sitting in Lahore were not cognisant of harsh ground realities.
He said this while addressing a meeting of stakeholders on the National Energy Efficiency and Conservation Policy Draft 2020, says a press release.
Today, thanks to the ring-fencing of funds allocated for south Punjab, these resources cannot be spent on any other area, he said. Even today when it comes to legislation regarding south Punjab, all political parties except PTI back off.
