KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party chairman Mustafa Kamal on Monday warned the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government in Sindh that any move to stop the “public march” scheduled for Jan 30 could lead to “dire consequences”.
The PSP has planned the protest against the recently passed controversial local government law by the Sindh Assembly.
“It would be a mammoth public march from Tibet Center to the Chief Minister House and if we are stopped and hurdles are created in our peaceful protest, the government will be responsible for dire consequences,” he said while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters called Pakistan House. PSP president Anis Kaimkhani was also present.
“If we are stopped, you [Sindh government] would face retaliation. We are humans like you. I appeal the people of Karachi to come out of their homes in large numbers on Jan 30 for their rights,” he said.
