BAJAUR: The authorities on Saturday removed encroachments from Khar Bazaar here to ensure smooth traffic flow and pedestrian movement.

Tehsil municipal officer Faiz Khan told Dawn that the action was launched after vendors failed to remove encroachments voluntarily within the deadline.

The official said the action would continue till the whole bazaar was cleared of all sorts of encroachments.

According to the official, strict action would be taken against those found encroaching upon the roadsides in future.
