Narrow wins in polo ties

LAHORE, Nov 23: Millat Tractors and Master Paints Yellow scored narrow wins against the same rivals, Shahpur Sabre, in two-chukker matches of the Morning Dew Cup polo on Wednesday.

Millat defeated Shahpur 2- 1 1/2. Abdul Haye Mehta and Shahzad Aziz scored a goal each for the winners.

Shahzad Aziz slammed the solitary goal in the dying minutes of the first chukker for the losers who had a half goal handicap. Master outplayed Shahpur 3- 2 1/2.

Shahpur, who had a half goal handicap scored first through Ali Hashim in the first chukker. Omer Niazi reduced the lead for Master.

In the second chukker Master scored back-to-back goals through Hasnain Iftikhar and Sufi Muhammad Aamir before Asif Tiwana struck a goal for the losers to complete the tally.

In the other matches, Millat Tractors beat Master Paints Yellow 3-1 while Master Paints Reds defeated JEUNI 8-1.
