Pakistan has detected 1,649 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, marking the first time the country's daily infections have risen over 1,600 since October 2.
The country had recorded 1,656 cases on that date.
The national positivity rate stands at 3.66 per cent.
The countrywide breakdown during the last 24 hours is as follows:
- Sindh: 928 cases
- Punjab: 561 cases, 1 death
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 42 cases, 1 death
- Balochistan: 1 case
- Islamabad: 113 cases
- Gilgit-Baltistan: 2 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 2 cases, 1 death
