LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja reiterated on Thursday that the country’s cricket governing body needed to work on three key areas if Pakistan is to win in Australia, England and New Zealand.

“We have to show excellence in three departments which are the pillars to get better and better results,” Ramiz said here at the HBL Pakistan Super League Trophy Tour event. “These are the organisational, commercial and cricketing departments and then we will beat Australia in Australia, England in England and New Zealand in New Zealand.”

With the seventh edition of the PSL beginning Jan 27, Ramiz expressed his satisfaction at the PSL’s rising commercial value with the PCB receiving offers bigger than ever for sponsorships.

The PCB chief said he wanted to give maximum financial benefits to Pakistan’s cricketers and said that 95 per cent of the income generated from the PSL had to go to the players and the franchise owners. The trophy tour will next head to Karachi.
