Mansoor stands defiant

LAHORE, Nov 22: Despite a brave knock from Mansoor Amjad, leaders Sialkot were struggling against Multan on the second day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League match at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Sialkot closed at 177 for six with Mansoor batting on 78 after the hosts rallied to reach 302 in the first innings.

In fact, Mansoor revived Sialkot’s fortunes after they stumbled to 54 for five.

Earlier, medium-pacer Tahir Mughal finished with six for 104 and Mohammad Asif three for 80 as Multan added 71 to their overnight total of 231 for four.
