KARACHI: A micro-smart lockdown was imposed on Friday in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Block 7, after 12 members of a family tested positive for Omicron variant of coronavirus.

The step was taken by the deputy commissioner-East on Friday on the recommendation of the district health officer.

According to a notification, the lockdown will be imposed in the streets and houses of the specified area and will remain effective till Jan 14.
