RAHIM YAR KHAN, Nov 20: Kot Samba police on Sunday registered a case against the Rahim Yar Khan TMO and 19 others, including policemen, on the orders of the Lahore High Court (Bahawalpur bench).

Sher Muhammad Khan, the newly-elected union council nazim of Taranda Saway Khan, moved court that the TMO and his accomplices thrashed him, snatched money from him and took away his office furniture because he belonged to the opposition party.

Carrying out court’s orders, police registered the case against TMO Zahid Javaid, TO (regulation) Piaray Shah, Taranda Saway Khan chief officer Abdul Sattar, Sadar police sub-inspector Azhar, chief officer (headquarters) Abdul Ghaffar, TMA taxation officer Tariq Mehmood, Kot Samba inspector Mahar Abdur Rehman, union council No 39 secretary Farooq Bajwa, UC No 59 secretary Abdul Ghafoor, Imran Fazal and 10 other TMA and police employees.

Police are looking into the matter.

TWO KILLED: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident near Chowk Bahadur on Sunday.

Bashir Ahmed of Rajanpur Kalan along with his friend was going to Rahim Yar Khan by motorcycle (RNP-920) when a speeding trailer (Karachi-PT-0680) hit them. Both the riders died on the spot.

Sadiqabad Sadar police have registered a case against the absconding driver and his helper.
