RAWALPINDI, Nov 18: A group of 11 Pakistanis deported from Morocco, arrived at Karachi airport from Casablanca by Qatar Air Ways flight on Friday, official sources told Dawn. He said the remaining six Pakistani illegal immigrants, out of the 17 arrested by Moroccan authorities, would be repatriated on Nov 24.

The deportation of the 17 Pakistani illegal immigrants was arranged by the Moroccan authorities in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration.

The sources said the eleven Pakistanis arrived at Quaid-i-Azam international airport by a Qatar Airway flight QR 318 on early Friday morning.

The eleven deportees were allowed to go by the immigration authorities after their statements were recorded as none of them was involved in any crime in Pakistan.

The 17 Pakistanis were captured by the Moroccan authorities on charges of entering the country without valid documents on Oct 24, 2005. The Pakistanis were kept in Goulimine city prison some 1700 km from Rabat.

All the detainees were issued emergency passports for deportation.
