PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) recovered 2,200 kanals of Pakistan Air Force land from land grabbers during an operation in Nowshera on Wednesday.

A statement issued here said the district administration and Nowshera police officials took part in the operation. It said assistant director ACE Nasir Ali led the operation, in which illegal constructions were demolished.

The statement said currently more than 10,000 kanals of land had been occupied by land grabbers. The encroached land belonged to CPEC City, State Bank Hospital, PAF and other departments. It was encroached upon by the land grabbers with the help of corrupt revenue officials of Nowshera district.
