ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday granted post-arrest bail to Mohammad Jameel, chef of the Jaffer family.

IHC Justice Aamer Farooq accepted Jameel’s post-arrest bail petition and ordered his release against Rs50,000 surety bonds.

Jameel was arrested by Kohsar police after the main accused, Zahir Jaffer, allegedly murdered Noor Mukadam in his house in F-7/4.

The court issued a short order on his bail plea.

Jameel, Zakir Jaffer, Asmat Adamjee and other domestic staff — Iftikhar Ahmed (watchman) and Jan Mohammad (gardener) — were jointly charged of being “well aware of the illegal act and activities of Zahir” but did not inform the police.

The ninth and 10th charges have also been jointly framed against Iftikhar, Mohammad Jan and Jameel for concealing the abduction of Noor and Zahir’s murder plan from the police.
