NAROWAL: A youngster was allegedly tortured and bitten on his earlobe by his father for demanding pocket money here on Thursday in Sufipura locality of Sialkot.

Abdullah (19) asked his father Muhammad Tanveer for pocket money. Tanveer got infuriated and cut his son’s ear with his teeth and hit him on the head with an electric iron.

Tanveer locked Abdullah in the house and moved away.

The youth informed his mother Shazia Bibi, who was at her parents’ house, about the incident. Shazia along with her son Muhammad Bilal reached home and rushed the injured to hospital.

Talking to Dawn, Shazia Bibi said: “My husband is a graduate and holds a diploma in architecture. Tanveer has been working in Dubai for 25 years and is now in Pakistan for the last four years. He has enough property and there are no quarrels over finances.”

Shazia alleged hat her husband had been torturing her since marriage. She said many a times she left her husband’s house and went to her parents with her children but Tanveer managed reconciliation by involving relatives.

“Six months ago, Tanveer kicked me and my children out of the house. My two sons and I were at my parents’ house and Abdullah was at home with his father,” she said.

Taking notice of the incident, Sialkot District Police Officer Atif Nazir directed the Rangpura police to take action against the suspect.

Rangpura police have registered a first information report against Tanveer on the complaint of Shazia.

Sialkot district police spokesperson Sohail Arshad said the DPO had formed a raiding team, headed by a DSP to arrest the suspect.
