KOHAT: The first-ever construction material and property expo was held here on Thursday where various brands were displayed by national companies.

The event, bringing buyers and sellers together, was organised by Mohsin Paracha of Multi Brand Marketing at Taj Marquee near Hangu railway crossing with the cooperation of Kohat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The function was inaugurated by MPA Ziaullah Bangash and chairman of Real Estate Businessmen Association, Kohat, Pir Kamran Shah. The KCCI was represented by former president Rasheed Paracha, Faiq Shah and others.

The participants showed keen interest in the construction business and real estate stalls. Shan Builders and Developers, Kohat, had set up the biggest stall, followed by Roots Builders and Developers, KCCI, property dealers and others.

Mr Bangash stressed that such events should be held regularly for the benefit of local people and business community.

MOU SIGNED: The International Islamic University Schools, Kohat campus, signed a memorandum of understanding with the police here on Thursday to provide 40 to 100 per cent concession in tuition fees to the heirs of the martyred, injured during duty and in-service policemen of the region.

The facility would be available to the children of Kohat, Hangu and Karak districts and the tribal subdivision of Darra Adamkhel.

The educated persons in the families of martyred policemen would also be offered jobs in the schools affiliated with the university.

The ceremony was attended by SP investigation Inayat Ali Shah, president of Private Schools Association Rab Nawaz, in-charge of martyrs’ desk Kamal Kausar and executive director of the university, Sheharyar Bangash.

The MoU was signed by SP Inayat Ali Shah and Sheharyar Bangash. Under the agreement, the children of the martyred policemen would get 100 per cent concession in tuition and admission fees.
