People of the area protested over the incident and approached the area magistrate, who ordered medical examination of the victim and registration of a criminal case against the policemen.

According to reports, Muhammad Qadir was at his shop at Ganj Husainabad when three officials of the city police station came there and thrashed him, leaving him unconscious.
