He directed the HDA not only to ensure proper supply of water and disposal of sewage but also unearth damaged lines of water supply and sewage to get them repaired and replaced to avoid supply of polluted water to people and ensure sustainability in development works.

Mr Jamil said the district government was planning to reactivate the HDA phase-wise to ensure good governance and efficient delivery of services to people.

He said the district government had initiated a survey to identify and solve problems of immediate nature and to estimate the cost for the works.

He said he was in touch with authorities to get development funds of Hyderabad released. He said efforts were also being made to authorize union council nazims to utilize their available funds for development schemes. He asked the nazims to prepare a list of development schemes of immediate nature in consultation with councillors.
