KARACHI, Nov 11: Pakistan’s Arshad Iqbal Burki will feature in the Malaysian Open squash in Kuala Lumpur later this month. Arshad will be Pakistan’s only entry in this year’s Malaysian Open to be played from Nov 15.

Apart from Arshad, other Pakistani players have decided against entering in the event because of Chief of Naval Staff Open in Karachi from Nov 12 to 15.

Arshad, who will also be taking part in the CNS Open will immediately fly for Kuala Lumpur after competing in the CNS Open. He meets a qualifier in the opening round.

Another player of Pakistani origin, Kashif Shuja, will take part in the event but would represent New Zealand. A former Pakistani international, Shuja will face England’s seventh seed Tim Manning in the opening round.—PPI
