LAHORE: The Punjab government on Wednesday approved the promotion policy about results of the matriculation and the intermediate examinations.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed the Higher Education Department (HED) to announce the results within 48 hours. The HED had directed all boards of intermediate and secondary education to announce the results in their respective jurisdictions.

According to the BISE Lahore spokesperson, the inter part-II result will be declared on Thursday evening (today) and matric on Oct 16. He said special inter examination would be held on Nov 27 and the matric on Dec 11.

Earlier, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen had announced a schedule of announcing inter results on Sept 30 and matric on Oct 16, but it was postponed owing to a delay in approval of the promotion policy by the provincial cabinet.
