LAHORE, Nov 10: Solid knock by Naved Qureshi (93) helped Rawalpindi gain a useful 104-run lead on first innings against Lahore Shalimar in the Quaid-ie-Azam Gold League at the LCCA Ground on Thursday.

Rawalpindi resuming their first innings at 70-3 and thanks to Naved’s knock managed to score 242 in 71.3 overs while replying to the home team’s first innings total of 138.

Naved struck 11 fours. Left-arm medium-pacer Muhammad Khalil took four wickets for 46. By close of play, Lahore Shalimar were 42 for one in the second innings.
