PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has arrested a developer for selling plots in an unregistered society.

A statement issued here on Friday identified the accused as Sultan Hussain, co-owner of City Residencia Peshawar.

The NAB said the accused lured people to invest money in his illegal housing society.

It said the housing scheme was operating without meeting codal formalities in complete violation of law. The accused sold total of 675 plots (315 kanals of land) while he had ownership of only 113 kanals.

The accused was presented in the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining his physical custody. The court granted a 10-day physical remand of the accused to the bureau for further investigations.
