RAHIM YAR KHAN, Nov 9: The ring leader and four members of Bosan gang were killed and two constables injured after a five-hour encounter in tehsil Sadiqabad on Wednesday morning.

According to police sources, an Ahmadpur Lama police station team faced the gangsters at Mastooi Chowk on 6:50am. When police signalled them to stop, they opened fire and tried to escape.

The police team chased them and the whole district was sealed. They were besieged by a large contingent of police, including Elite Force, in the area of Husainabad.

Sources said the dacoits also used grenades and rocket launchers against the police.

After a five hours’ long exchange of fire, ring leader Tariqi Bosan his two brothers Javaid Bosan and Mukhtar Bosan, father Jan Muhammad alias Jani Bosan and Allah

Dad alias Dadi Bhand were killed.

Constable Akbar of Bhong police station and Saeed Ahmad of Elite Force sustained injuries. They have been admitted to hospital.

Police recovered two Kalashnikovs, a gun, two 222 rifles and many rounds.
