SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: A bomb blast injured presidential award winner Malik Aslam Noor Khan and two others in Wana Bazaar here on Sunday, witnesses said.

They said that Malik Aslam was on his way to home from Wana town when an explosive device went off near his vehicle. The blast caused injuries to Malik Aslam, and two other persons passing by the area at the time. The wounded persons were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana.

The police said that the explosive device was fitted with a motorcycle. Names of two wounded passersby could not be ascertained. Police said that investigations were underway.

Malik Aslam Noor had received Tamgha-i-Shuja’at from President Arif Alvi on March 23, 2021 for his efforts in restoration of peace in the area. His brother Malik Khadeen was also killed in a bomb attack.
