KARACHI: A young woman suffered burn wounds when her husband allegedly attacked her with acid attack over some family dispute in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Friday, police said.
They said that the suspect, Sadiq Sharif, 45, threw acid on her wife, Saira, 25 at their apartment in Block-15. She suffered injuries and and was shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
Sharea Faisal SHO Mazhar Kango said that her condition was out of danger.
He said that the suspects managed to escape from the scene.
He said that the suspect had three wives and the injured was the second one.
She had approached the court for dissolution of marriage (khula) and the issue had been pending for the past one year.
