LAHORE: Danish Javed, Hussain Hamid, Salman Jehangir and Abdul Moiz on Friday qualified for the semi-finals of the Pakistan Golf Federation Match Play Golf Championships for amateurs here at the Royal Palm Golf course on Friday.

In the semi-finals to be held on Saturday, Danish meets Hussain while Salman takes on Abdul Moiz.

In the quarter-final duel, Danish was in full command against Faisal Sayid and though Faisal was excellent in patches, Danish had the better of him through accurate hitting and some precise putting on the greens.

Hussain overpowered Qasim Ali Khan with some masterly shot-making.

In the contest between Salman and Mohsin Zafar, the former showed more resilience to come out with flying colours, while in a tense battle between Abdul Moiz and Mohammad Arsalan, Moiz played the last six holes well to win.
