Air Link authorised to resell Apple products in Pakistan

LAHORE: Air Link Communi­cation Limited has been appointed as the authorised reseller of Apple Inc products in Pakistan for which the two firms have signed an agreement, a stock filing said on Thursday.

“…Air Link Communication Limited has entered into an ‘Apple-authorised reseller’ agreement with the Apple South Asia Pte limited whereby our company has been authorised to resell Apple-authorised products in Pakistan,” the Air Link filing stated.

As per the agreement, the company will be reselling a wide range of consumer electronics, computer software products of the Cupertino (California, US)-based Apple Inc.

The company was listed on PSX (Pakistan Stock Exchange) on Sept 22. The stock exchange also allowed trading of the company’s shares from Wednesday.

The company — a leading distributor of mobile phones with service centres across Pakistan — was founded in 2011. It is an importer-distributor of Huawei and Samsung mobile phones and accessories in Pakistan with around 20 to 25 per cent market share of the total mobile business, according to the Customs Import Data. It is the official partner of Samsung mobiles and tablets in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
