SUKKUR: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested three wanted criminals after an encounter in Sadhu Belo area in the district.

Police officials at C-Section police station said that a patrol party spotted movement of some suspected persons in Sadhu Belo area during the night and tried to go near them but they opened fire at police.

Police retaliated and managed to overpower Dholan alias Dholo Shar, Ali Dino alias Guddu Lakhan and Ali Gul Shaikh after Dholan suffered wounds in the police fire, said officials.

Mir Bilal Leghari, a police officer, said the outlaws were wanted by police in more than 25 cases involving motorcycle snatching, theft and other crimes, registered at different police stations in Sukkur and other cities.
