GUJRAT: A 26-year-old woman was burnt by her husband over a domestic dispute at Bokan village on Thursday.

Police said the woman’s condition was out of danger at the burns unit of the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital (ABSTH) where she was shifted late on Thursday night.

Rustam Ali, a resident of Mararrian village, lodged a complaint with police that his sister Noreen had been burnt by her husband Abid Ali over a dispute.

Police registered a case against two persons under sections 324 and 336B of Pakistan Penal Code and started investigation. The suspects are at large.

A spokesman for police said Gujrat Saddar SHO Mujahid Abbas had traced and arrested Usman of Alipur village and Faisal Mehmood of Gujranwala who had fled after assassinating three people in 2015.
