RAWALPINDI, Nov 6: Cuban President Fiedel Castro has assured President Pervez Musharraf of his country’s full support in earthquake relief efforts, informing that Cuba is despatching another team of 200 doctors to serve in the quake zone.

The two leaders had a telephonic conversation for half an hour on Saturday evening, during which Castro said Cuba stands with Pakistan in this hour of difficulty.

Castro informed President Musharraf that a Cuban federal minister would be based in Pakistan shortly for coordinating relief efforts in the quake-shattered areas of NWFP and AJK.—APP
