ISLAMABAD, Nov 7: Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Interior Minister Prince Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz arrived here on Sunday a three-day official visit to Pakistan, Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao said.

Soon after his arrival, the Saudi prince called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and discussed with him the situation in the quake-stricken areas and the ongoing relief operation.

He will meet President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Monday.

The Saudi delegation comprises the health minister, minister for social welfare, Saudi Majlis-i-Shoora’s deputy chief, chief of the kingdom’s Red Crescent and director-general of civil defence.

Prime Minister Aziz hosted a dinner in honour of the Saudi delegation at the Prime Minister Secretariat.

Prince Ahmed will visit the interior ministry on Tuesday where he would be given a briefing about the relief operation and terrorism.

APP addsDuring his meeting with the prime minister, the Saudi minister held out the assurance that the kingdom would extend full support to Pakistan for rehabilitation of quake-hit people and reconstruction of devastated areas.
