LAHORE: Two women were allegedly gang-raped in different areas of the city on Friday.

In the first incident, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by unknown men in Raiwind area.

According to the FIR, the complainant said she was going home on foot on Aug 25 when an unidentified motorcyclist stopped her and asked her he needed a domestic help for work at his house.

She said she gave the motorcyclist her mobile number, who called her the next day and asked her to reach Raiwind.

She said she went to Raiwind where the unidentified motorcyclist received her and took her to a deserted house, where another man was waiting for them.

She alleged one of the suspects pulled out a gun and later both of them raped her. She said when she called her husband there, the suspects subjected him to torture and fled the scene.

The survivor then called the police on 15 helpline who reached the spot and later registered a case against the unidentified suspects.

In the second incident, a woman was allegedly raped by three suspects in Garhi Shahu area.

The woman in her complaint stated that a rickshaw driver ‘S’ called her to a place in Mughalpura on the pretext of arranging a job for her.

She said when she reached the spot with her two-year-old daughter, ‘S’ took her to Nach Ghar ground in Garhi Shahu area where two unidentified men were already present.

She said the suspects pulled out guns, took her daughter hostage and repeatedly raped her. She demanded action against the suspects.

Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Mahmood Dogar took notice of the incidents and directed the officers concerned to take measures to arrest the suspects.
