LOWER DIR: One paramilitary soldier embraced martyrdom when terrorists attacked a check-post from across the Afghan border on Thursday.

Security sources confirmed that Havaldar Gul Ameer of Dir Scouts 185 Wing embraced martyrdom after having been injured in the attack on the post in the Three Baman Sector along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

They said terrorists escaped when security forces returned fire. Havaldar Ameer was brought to the THQ hospital, Samarbagh, in critical condition where he succumbed to injuries.
