Islamabad has reported 557 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours — the highest number of cases since April 22 with 617 cases.

The region also reported five coronavirus-related fatalities over the past 24 hours. The total number of infections has now increased to 91,217 while the death toll from the disease now stands at 821.

Meanwhile, Azad Jammu and Kashmir reported 219 cases and four deaths. The total number of cases has increased to 27,507 while the death toll is 650.

Gilgit-Baltistan reported 80 cases and four deaths, taking the caseload to 8,876 and the death toll to 157.
