ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority has retrieved an agro farm plot from land grabbers in Orchard Scheme, Islamabad.

“Today, on the directions of CDA chairman, the authority’s Enforcement Directorate in collaboration with the district administration and ICT police carried out an operation against the illegal occupation of agro farm plot No 79 located in Orchard Scheme, Murree Road, Islamabad,” read a statement issued here on Thursday.

It said that the plot was neither allotted nor its possession handed over to anyone. However, some land grabbers had made constructions thereon besides operating machinery to pave the land for raising more structures.

The CDA teams took action and demolished three rooms, one veranda and one washroom with the help of machinery. Moreover, the machinery used by the land grabbers for paving the land was also seized from the site.
