LAHORE: Eight top teams will participate in the Mari Petroleum Azadi Hockey Cup to be held at Mari’s own stadium in Ayub Park, Rawalpindi from Aug 8 to 14.

The competing sides — who are all among the top in the PHF’s rankings — are Wapda, National Bank, Sui Southern Gas Company, Navy, Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Pakistan Air Force, Punjab and Army.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) have appointed Olympian Ayaz Mahmood as the tournament director with Rashid Butt to act as umpire’s manager, while Asif Naz Khokhar has been appointed as the coordinator.
