With gradual uptick in coronavirus cases across the country, Pakistan has recorded 1,828 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours — the highest since June 4, when the number stood at 1,923.

It also marked the third consecutive day when more than 1,700 cases were reported.

According to the NCOC, 48,134 tests were conducted during the last 24-hour period. The total number of cases in the country has risen to 971,304 and the death toll is 22,555.

Breakdown of deaths and cases reported is as follows:

  • Sindh: 1046 cases, 17 deaths
  • Punjab: 240 cases, 10 deaths
  • Balochistan: 82 cases
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 154 cases, 5 deaths
  • Islamabad: 113 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 124 cases, 3 death
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 69 cases
