Three of a family killed in accident

SAHIWAL, Oct 28: Three family members were killed and four others sustained injuries on Friday in an accident on Sahiwal-Arifwala Road near Dilluwala Bungalow.

A speeding car (MNS-2219), coming from Jahanian to Sahiwal, overturned while overtaking a donkey cart. Sameena Iqbal, her son Amjad and daughter Farzana died instantly while driver Falak Sher, Sania (21), Rabia (infant) and Asia (10) sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to hospital.

INJURED: Two motorcyclists shot at and injured a local district accounts office employee at Tehsil Chowk here on Friday.

Sub-accountant Muhammad Iqbal was coming to his office from Chak 50/5-L when motorcyclists opened fire on him. He received bullet injuries and was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
