Protest against robberies

Transport operators on Wednesday blocked a main road in Mauripur against rising incidents of robberies in the area.

Police said that unidentified armed men had looted Rs500,000 from the truck stand near gate No 3 in Mauripur.

The truck stand transport associations’ members staged a protest on the road against the robberies which caused suspension of vehicular movement on both tracks of the road causing traffic jams.
