Pakistan has reported less than 1,000 Covid-19 after a gap of five days. During the last 24 hours, 830 cases have been reported after 37,364 tests were conducted.

The total number of cases in the country has risen to 964,490. Another 25 deaths were also reported during this period, taking the total to 22,452. The positivity rate has fallen from 2.97 per cent a day earlier to 2.22pc.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 425,640 Covid-19 vaccines were administered across the country on July 5. So far, 17,815,986 doses have been administered.

Breakdown of cases and deaths reported during last 24 hours:

  • Sindh: 373 cases, 8 deaths
  • Punjab: 162 cases, 10 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 83 cases, 3 deaths
  • Islamabad: 79 cases
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 77 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 30 cases, 1 death
  • Balochistan: 26 cases, 3 deaths
