Jaffar puts Cantt Sports into semis

KARACHI, Oct 27: A fine all-round performance by skipper Jaffar Qureshi guided Cantt Sports CC into the semifinals of the 20th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan cricket on Thursday.

Jaffar claimed three for 20 with slow left-armers as A.O.CC were dismissed for 148 in the 24th over. He later scored a 19-ball 27 with the aid of three fours and one six.

Atif Maqbool also bowled well to capture three for 18. Shabbir Khan with 40 off 32 balls was the main run-getter for A.O.CC.
