A meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has expressed satisfaction over the availability of coronavirus vaccines in the country, according to a press release by the body.

The session chaired by National Coordinator Lt Gen Hamooduz Zaman Khan reiterated that all federating units can procure vaccines on their end.

The forum also discussed the rollout plan of three million doses of Sinovac vaccine arriving today from China. So far, 21.13m doses of different vaccines have been received by Pakistan out of which more than 17m have been procured on payment.

The NCOC expressed concern over the rising positivity of Covid cases in Gilgit-Baltistan and stressed the need for stringent implementation of SOPs for tourism in the northern areas.
