KARACHI: Mumba Squad beat hosts Karachi Basketball Club 47-44 to qualify for the semi-final for the first International Abdul Nasir Memorial Basketball Tournament being organised by Firdaus Ittehad in collaboration with the Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) here at Abdul Nasir Basketball Court, Arambagh on Tuesday.

Main scorers for the winners team, who with this victory also became group champions include Taha Khattak (18), Kenneth Johnson (12) and Saad Khan (10).For the losing side, Daniyal Ahmed (12), Raja Kumar Lakhwani and Asad Imam (10 points each) did well but could not save their team from the defeat.

Earlier, both teams were introduced to chief guest Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, the vice-president of the Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA). KBBA president Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Yaqoob and Ashraf Yahya were also present on the occasion.
