HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) chief executive officer Rehan Hameed on Monday promised that the entire region under his control would be made loadshedding-free region and that he would bring an end to the issuance of detection bills.

Speaking to journalists at the local press club, he said the detection bills’ issue was attributable to line losses. It would be taken up with the federal ministry of energy and people would hear good news about it soon.

Mr Hameed said that Sehwan would be declared loadshedding-free zone and Hyderabad power outage-free zone.

He said that a digital complaint registration system was in the offing and power consumers would soon be able to lodge their complaint through mobile phones.

The recently appointed Hesco chief acknowledged that consumers had become fed up with burning of transformers and demands for illegal gratification by Hesco staff for their repair.
