OKARA: An eight-year-old boy was bitten by a pack of stray dogs on Monday.

On Monday morning, Younis (8) of Ismailpura locality (Hujra Shah Muqeem) was attacked by stray dogs in fields. As he raised a hue and cry, people working in nearby fields rushed to the spot and rescued him.

The boy suffered injuries to head and neck. He was shifted to Hujra Shah Muqeem Rural Health Centre from where he was referred to Dipalpur THQ Hospital. Later, he was referred to DHQ City Hospital emergency ward and admitted to its surgical ward where he was not properly attended.

Owing to his condition by Monday evening, the boy was referred to Lahore but his family took him to Sahiwal DHQ Hospital and now he is improving.

SHOT DEAD: A young man on Monday night was shot dead by three unidentified armed men near Kabaar Market on GT Road in City B division police precincts.

As per first information report, complainant Latif said his brother Shafique was on his way home after closing his shop when three armed men suddenly appeared and one of them shot him dead.

The attackers managed their escape.

City B division police have registered a case under section 302 and 34 of the PPC against three unidentified suspects.
