KARACHI: A 27-year-old man was shot dead in Model Colony on Monday morning, according to police.

They added that armed pillion riders entered a home in Laasi Goth near Kala Board and opened fire on Roza Uddin before fleeing. He suffered critical bullet injuries and was transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Area SHO Sadat Butt said that the murder appeared to be motivated by some personal enmity.

Firing on minibus

Two passengers were shot at and wounded in an incident of firing on a minibus in North Karachi, according to Sir Syed police. They added that armed pillion riders opened fire on the minibus near Anda Mor, resulting in injuries to Ghulam Qasim, 60, and Zafar Maqsood, 45. Both persons were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. The police believed that the real target appeared to be Qasim.
