TAXILA: One person lost his life while 14 others were injured five of them seriously in two road accidents on Islamabad-Peshawar motorway (M-1) in Attock district on Monday.

In the first incident, one person on board a pickup was killed on the spot when it rammed into a car which caught fire as the CNG cylinder of the car burst and engulfed the car, inflicting burn injuries to its four inmates.

The accident took place near Hazro toll plaza.

The four persons on board the car received burn injuries and were shifted to Rawalpindi.

In the second incident, a passenger van was hit by an oil tanker on the motorway near Ghazi toll plaza in the early hours of Monday in which ten passengers were injured, five of them seriously.

The critical patients were shifted to different hospitals of Rawalpindi. Respective police have registered cases and started further investigation.
